17. I know all kinds of things happen on the 20th and the 21st.
18. first. Yep. Shout out to DJ Cry on his birthday. And it was Father's Day. He was here in Austin
19. visiting and hanging out. He had a great time. And shout out to DJ Chorizo Funk. That is his name.
20. You should check him out. He's pretty good. He sets the tone, makes people dance. Yeah,
21. we had a good time. Yeah. Happy Father's Day. That's cool. Yeah. So many things.
22. shout out to my dad. His name is Richard Wayne Peters. Richard Peters. He's a traditional dancer.
23. He passed away a long time ago. So shout out to my dad in the stars.
24. And, you know, the crazy thing about this father's date is that tomorrow Ventura County Superior
25. Court is having the sentencing for, I'm only taking a guess that that's what it is because
26. There's no mention of it on this particular accounts on Instagram.
27. It says, her life mattered.
28. Join us as we stand for Michaela Renee settles and demand real justice.
29. Michaela is more than a case number.
30. She was a daughter.
31. She was loved and she mattered.
32. We will not be silent.
33. So her court date is tomorrow, 730 in the morning.
34. They'll be putting some prayers down outside the Ventura County Superior Court.
35. But the good part about this is that there is a process and it's in process.
36. It could have taken a lot longer, but it didn't.
37. At least it's moving.
38. At least that.
39. But it's got to move towards justice.
40. And, you know, I'm going to jump into my report because I want to really get to the really good stuff in your report.
41. My report is that we had a real significant shift in the politics of Venice.
42. and it sounds so mundane and so trivial when you think about how the White House administration is
43. just making no apology and they do whatever they want. Well, it's the same thing for our
44. neighborhood council. And it's so obvious that there's no transparency or accountability and
45. the leadership is just about bulldozing through bylaws, bulldozing through the charter,
46. doing whatever they want and the person who's representing the city through
47. Department of Neighborhood Empowerment is not being forthright and honest and
48. knowing what she supposed to know And it not because she ruling or deciding against humanity and the truth which is pretty much the side we all on We gained quite a few people who just are witnessing the debauchery and the lame attack at the people that are attending the meetings
49. And all of a sudden, in some rows, we're all gaslit.
50. we're all the ones that are causing the meeting to be a farce and we're making light of the process
51. of their idea of democracy. So, you know, there's such a thing as being called racist as a person
52. of color, which you and I both disagree on that, but I know we can be biased. I know we can be
53. definitely prejudgmental or prejudiced in a way that assumes a lot of things because we're human
54. and no one is perfect. But we've had some people claim some real serious things,
55. and I want to touch on those and then hand it off to you. When people in Venice or the West Side
56. talk about reverse racism, I say that there's no such thing and that if people do not feel safe
57. coming to Oakwood for Juneteenth events or any event in Oakwood, that's because they don't have
58. the community claim them as part of our whole community because the said person, the specific
59. person who's fearful is not themselves a safe person because racists claim to be not racist by
60. saying, you know, I'm not racist, which is very telling, red flags everywhere. But then they have
61. flying monkeys to join the conversation and to defend the racist. It's just so obviously a
62. narcissistic tendency. So we're in a Zoom and anytime we have a Zoom, they're supposed to put
63. that up on the account for the Venice Neighborhood Council. And there have been quite a few of these
64. Zoom meetings that are not uploaded. And lastly, all of these violations of the charters and the
65. bylaws, they're not being handled on the stakeholders behalf on behalf of the constituents,
66. the people who participate in this democory. And what it is, is that there's no enforcement. They
67. know that there's no enforcement. And that's what is very Trumpian. There's no excuse for people to
68. be so out of hand and out of pocket. And it's only a third of the members. It's only about, I'd say,
69. seven of the members. I don't know what's going to happen, but if they were to shut it down,
70. it wouldn't be missed because they would still have access to these behind closed door meetings
71. that they're not transparent about. So when it comes to ex parte, they're lying through their
72. teeth. We just know by the way they behave, by the way they act, the way that they script things,
73. that they've already met about these things. And there's four women who actually are very,
74. very much on point. Two of the four know the charter and the rules and the bylaws,
75. Robert's rule of order. They know everything, the Brown Act. They know all the things that
76. offer guidance to have that democracy that we all deserve, but they want to boot them off
77. the council. So the leadership failure is on them and their plans to keep the public on a need-to-know
78. basis. And setting the agenda isn't easy. It's like pulling teeth. It's like going to the dentist
79. with a very bad toothache and you need to cure it. And so you need to do whatever they're going to do
80. and they recommend, but we're not taking what they recommend because it's just leaning more
81. towards what the Olympics are going to bring and leaning more towards economic elite.
82. And lastly, the final thing is that I would really like and beg the community representatives
83. on this body to have a community retreat so that way we can all get together and talk about what we looking at for the future of Venice because the people that hate us really loathe us claim that we want to put a target on
84. their backs or we'll probably target them and harass them and we don't do that some people are
85. just not worth a spit in my mouth but basically we're not victims to the particular ideas that
86. they have about their safety. And we're not thinking twice about them. It's just that they
87. keep popping up on the app next door. And so I just want people to get along, not just to get
88. along, but get along to understand and have the compassion of humanity, because we really need
89. each other for what's about to up and come, you know, shortage of food, shortage of water,
90. or God forbid, a natural disaster because Earth Mama is shaking and quaking. She's
91. bacon over here. She's got some trouble with menopause. She's going through some heat,
92. Sunrose. That's my report. Yeah. Earth Mother's having hot flashes over here all summer long
93. and beyond. I just want to hand it back to you because some people may or may not understand,
94. but from anywhere else outside of LA, but the sheer fact that we have a neighborhood council,
95. just the reason behind it is to keep us out of city hall and to keep us arguing amongst ourselves
96. because there's no way we can pull it together unless we have meaningful dialogue where we
97. really listen to one another because this other side makes no apology for what they say
98. they attack us it's kind of like when kids go to the playground at the schools and they make the
99. kid hit themselves and they say why are you hitting yourself why are you hitting yourself
100. Well, that's who we are. We're the kids like, why do we show up to these meetings? Well, it's actually every meeting is a direct action and they haven't realized it. We're holding up truth. We're just holding up a mirror. And most of the rules and the bylaws and whatnot, a good majority of them don't understand. So they don't know how to be guided by them or don't have the capacity to enforce what the rules are. So they just break them. They're just like changing them willy nilly.
101. So now they're trying to boot for women who actually do a lot of great, beautiful work for the community as a whole.
102. And they're doing that because they want to do whatever they want, which sounds very White House administration.
103. You know, it reminds me of is we all do the, you know, I didn't, sorry, but I was just trying to say we've all been doing the Pledge of Allegiance at school and whatnot.
104. And it's like, why not let us know exactly what that means growing up?
105. So doing the Pledge of Allegiance, you're pledging to the United States of America to be a good citizen.
106. And in doing that, you have those rights to show up to city councils, show up to all those different meetings, the commissioners meeting on this.
107. All those are public meetings that we're all supposed to vocalize are like these systems are set up.
108. Right. So we can be that democratic process.
109. but the educational system is not letting us know,
110. telling us that this is what you signed up for.
111. This is what it means.
112. Yeah.
113. Civic engagement.
114. Yeah.
115. I didn't really learn that until I started working for like getting survey
116. signed for different Medicaid stuff.
117. They needed so many signatures to get on the ballot and then you're on the
118. ballot and then they can make that,
119. especially like in hemp and the cannabis world,
120. You have to get some signatures to agree to this particular part of the cannabis hemp industry in order for it to get going and get passing like yeah the south dakota indirect is still not really all there so anyways what i saying is if the
121. educational system would let us know okay by doing this pledge of allegiance this is what you are
122. pledging to it's not just a mandatory thing that we say yeah it's very brainwashing but not like
123. actually setting you up to be an American citizen.
124. So I'm just saying you citizens should be mad about that.
125. Okay.
126. I think we should be doing Sesame Street.

139. Okay, so I am sitting in a campsite on a rodeo grounds, actually.
140. There's some horses I can see, but I am on the youth run from green grass to greasy grass.
141. So we were at World Peace and Prayer Day, which I've kind of been excited and leading up to because I did some artwork for it.
142. I volunteered and I did a crazy horse drawing in honor of the 150th year anniversary.
143. And I've been talking about like that.
144. So I won't be talking about it anymore after this because this is just this is it.
145. This is it. I'm here. We're here.
146. The 25th is going to go down. That's Victory Day on the 25th.
147. And we are following some youth runners who are some of the original runners from the original Standing Rock run when they ran to the Army Corps of Engineers.
148. And then some of the youth runners as well are also youth from the Minneapolis recent protest camp that was kind of controversial, the mini Oasney camp.
149. There are about four youth who are a part of that circle that are here running as well.
150. So we are all in unity as a part of Orville Looking Horses dream or not really celebration,
151. but a call out for world peace and a day of prayer all coming together.
152. And so everywhere you're at is world peace and prayer day.
153. And they've been doing that for 30 years and activating different sacred sites.
154. And they've been asked to go all over the world.
155. And on their ninth year, they went to Australia.
156. They were invited to Australia and they were having a hard time and they were going to give up hosting World Peace and Prayer Day.
157. And when they went to Australia, they met a man who had this bundle, this medicine bundle from the Aborigines that they had prophesied that this man would come from America, from the States on a certain day, 13 years from now.
158. and that he would look like this he would be tall and horses would come with him and then the shape
159. of the historic site was a you horseshoe horseshoe yeah horseshoe a horseshoe shape say that 10 times
160. and it all came together so Orville showed up and then this elder showed up and was like
161. you were prophesized.
162. Like you're the man in the prophecy that I'm holding this bundle for.
163. And it just like refilled their cup.
164. It like re-solidified what they were doing.
165. And so they continue to do it.
166. And then they ended up doing World Peace and Prayer Day for 30 years.
167. And they made an announcement that this is their last year that they will be hosting World Peace and Prayer Day.
168. and they're giving it to the people.
169. And now it is our responsibility
170. to host our own World Peace and Prayer Days
171. at our sacred sites.
172. Wherever we are at, everybody,
173. and it's all faiths.
174. It's not just a Lakota thing.
175. We are calling out all of humanity,
176. everybody, all faiths,
177. one prayer, one mind, one heart.
178. And yeah, it's really...
179. Wow, that's a huge responsibility, too.
180. Yeah, World Peace and Prayer Day.
181. So I also want to read you a statement from Chief Orville Looking Horse about World Peace and Prayer Day.
182. So it says,
183. Each of us is put here in this time and this place to personally decide the future of humankind.
184. Did you think the Creator would create unnecessary people in a time of such terrible danger?
185. Know that you yourself are essential to this world.
186. Understand both the blessing and the burden of that.
187. You yourself are desperately needed to save the soul of this world.
188. Did you think you were put here for something less?
189. In a sacred hoop of life, there is no beginning and no ending.
190. It is a time that people understand.
191. Mother Earth is a source of life and not a resource.

206. it's our own now it's our responsibility also because they're grandmas grandmas and grandpas
207. and it is time for the younger organizers to take over on doing certain sacred things activating
208. sites so that was sad but then it was cool at the same time and we were able to do some good
209. ceremonies and wipe Paula down and throughout all of the presenters. So on the 20th, we have a lot

211. all of the presenters. And then they also have a YouTube channel where they listed their
212. live stream So they did a live stream and then all the speakers are on there So I definitely throughout the year I going to in my off time and when I beating or doing whatever my artwork I doing at the time I going to throw that on just so I can rehear all of these awesome messages and something really cool
213. So recently we witnessed Peshawar and the threat of drilling at Peshawar, which is a sacred site in the Black Hills.
214. So these two women, Dr. Valerie Big Eagle and Anissa Martin, they came as representatives from Indian Collective and they talked about their leadership and working to protect the Hasapa and Peshla and how it was such an awesome scene to show up the next day where everybody walked into the drill site and all the drill equipment was gone.
215. And it was a really powerful experience for them to have stood up.
216. And then the next day, like it was good.
217. They won.
218. So there are some good victories that was talked about.
219. And also I have to talk about one of my really good sister friends that I met in the ceremony world.
220. Her name is Tala Tatusis.
221. Now, we are here at Bear Butte, which is north of Sturgis.
222. It's a national park, but it literally looks like a bear laying down on its belly.
223. Yeah, it's really cool.
224. It's a powerful, sacred site where our people have been going there to go humblecha or do their vision quest up above.
225. And then also women go there to ask for twins for pregnancies and fertility.
226. And there is some ceremony leaders that have become abusers.
227. No.
228. Wow.
229. Tala Tatousis was essayed here at Bear Butte at a ceremony with a ceremony man who was just convicted out of Las Vegas and is serving life sentences.
230. So she has been one of the first kind of whistleblowers of the Nathan Chasing Horse Circle cult.
231. And I see you all out there who still support him.
232. Let me just say, like, it's time to turn that table.
233. I do not support the assaults, the MMIW.
234. Like, that's got to stop.
235. That is not healthy.
236. And so she has encouraged.
237. She steps up and threw her ribbon skirts and sewing.
238. And this was her first time back from Bear Butte, from YSL.
239. Yeah.
240. So I got to give it out to Tala Tatousis.
241. She also has just overcome so much and she has become a master.
242. She just graduated.
243. So she's highly educated.
244. And she also has like her social worker licenses.
245. Every now and then, you know, she puts a call out.
246. She takes clients and she also gets asked to come speak about her overcoming her story.
247. and it's out there she has like a lot of youtubes and a lot of videos out there she's i'd say a
248. pretty famous person like and then she's beautiful she's so beautiful and she's just cute bouncing
249. around and just happy souls and she's from canada and so she was able to speak and that was really
250. cool and there was this man who came from greenland and hello yeah he came from Greenland What a relative Traveled the whole way Yeah To like speak in defense of being like we not for sale
251. You can't have us.
252. We're our own sovereignty.
253. And it's really cool about Greenland is the people literally own it.
254. Like nobody owns a deed.
255. What I'm understanding of what I heard.
256. so i'm gonna look into this a little bit more but like they just build their own homes and that's it
257. they all share the yeah space yeah so they're like all the citizens own greenland so there's no like
258. individual selling it's really interesting but yeah he was really cute he made all kinds of jokes
259. and he had some polar bear claws and oh man when the natives come from the north it's just really
260. cool just they'd be rocking it and a really famous dakota singer and hoop dancer jackie bird
261. she came all through that's always a treat oh i've witnessed seeing her performances all my life
262. have you ever heard of jackie bird you know yeah she's a musician and she i guess it's kind of
263. country but then she adds the native flair and one of my favorites goes like this my one and only
264. We sound just like her.
265. I grew up listening to her.
266. I know, I know.
267. That's how I know how to sing good too.
268. And Sissy Goodhouse, Faith Spotted Eagle came and she talked about the Redstone movement, which is Pipestone.
269. So right now, my companion and I from Indian Collected, we're working with them to get a thousand signatures for opinions.
270. So we're encouraging everyone to write in because a physical piece of paper will put a kick in the system.
271. All these online stuff, they just got a computer reading through it.
272. But if you send something physical in to give them your opinion, then they have to physically look in it, stack it up.
273. And that's man hours.
274. And respond.
275. Yeah.
276. And so this is the comment time.
277. And it's going to be over soon.
278. So we're going to have to post all of that.
279. And I know last episode I kind of went into that.

283. So while we're here at the Battle of Little Bighorn on the 25th to see the victory, we also have another kind of side mission of filling out or it's a postcard.

285. But it has a blank space where everybody is encouraged to write their own thing about it.
286. in. I actually want to write a separate letter that is just going to state facts where they have
287. to decide if this person is for it or against it. I don't want to say it in my letter. I'm going to
288. say, here's this fact, here's this archeological fact. You make the decision if you should put a
289. pipeline there or not. Anyways, that's how I'm going to put it across some of the churches and
290. synagogues and temples and see how they like that. Yeah. So it's just been a really awesome,
291. beautiful moment to be at a sacred site at Burr Butte at a really awesome humblecha site reactivated just empowering to see my sister overcome some trauma and do some healing And I kind of wish I was a little bit there for her
292. a little bit more.
293. I had to do some running around and helping,
294. but I know some other ladies helped her smudge off.
295. And yeah, it was cool.

311. okay so we're on this youth run and our runners are running by and our cars are coming but we got
312. banners that say greasy grass victory day etc and these like ranchers these like non-malinated folks
313. these americans are coming out of their house and they're like oh are you guys okay we're like oh
314. we're on a spiritual run and they're like oh what for oh in honor of the battle of the greasy grass
315. the 150th year anniversary oh and they kind of just like roll their eyes and go back into their
316. house 150 years yo it's still the wild wild west out here cowboys and indians and it was until
317. 2022 in colorado it was legal for you to unalive an indian and steal their land but
318. Yeah. And get paid for taking their life.
319. So it's wild out here to be a Native American brown person in the United States.
320. It's a beautiful day to be Indian, though.
