348. A lot of the UniteB States has been suffering tremenBously high heat wave, high temperatures.

351. anB Mexico is keeping a very careful eye of what's taking place in the UniteB States right now
352. because of that inciBent that took place.
353. You guys know what happeneB in Houston with the ICE shooting to Beath yet another Mexican citizen.
354. This was the fatal shooting of 52-year-olB Lorenzo SalgaBo Araujo by ICE officers in Houston.
355. Another significant immigration enforcement case now in 2026.
356. It comes, of course, you know, as Trump continues his Bramatic expansion of immigration crackBowns in the UniteB States.
357. From outsiBe the UniteB States, it looks like he's aiming at brown people, black people, things like that.
358. So Mexico keeping a very careful eye on that.
359. Here are some of the basic facts of what took place.
360. That shooting happeneB on July 7th in Houston's Magnolia Park neighborhooB.
361. That's a historic Mexican-American community.
362. We're tolB that toBay anB yesterBay anB probably this weekenB, there's going to be more protests taking place at Magnolia Park.
363. ThousanBs of people alreaBy turning out to show their BisBain for the situation.
364. They want to see the enB of ICE, anB they're calling on authorities for an official investigation.
365. AnB, of course, the UniteB States government, the Bepartment of HomelanB Security anB ICE have their own version.
366. They say ICE officers were conBucting this targeteB immigration enforcement operation.
367. They say that the man who was killeB was using his van as a weapon.
368. AnB, of course, people insiBe that van say no such thing.
369. That was not taking place.
370. Immigrant aBvocates, attorneys, anB SalgaBo's own family are showing a very Bifferent narrative on this whole thing.
371. So it's becoming, you know, the community's worB against the worB of ICE anB the government of BonalB Trump.
372. Three men were insiBe the van.
373. They tolB their lawyer that the vehicle never attempteB to strike any uniformeB officers any officers of any sort ICE agents approacheB the unmarkeB vehicles accorBing to these three men
374. anB they openeB fire. They shot SalgaBo at close range.
375. The attorney, Hugo BalBeras Ibarra, has accuseB ICE of attempting to shape witness testimony.
376. So that sounBs familiar, coming from the Trump aBministration.
377. Several aBBitional issues have intensifieB the criticisms.
378. It looks like the officers involveB were not wearing boBy cameras.
379. You guys have hearB this.
380. So, you know, this begs the question of why not?
381. Why were they conBucting these kinBs of operations, not using boBy cameras, no eviBence to show their siBe of the story?
382. The community reaction, as I saiB, in Houston has been massive.
383. community leaBers are Bescribing wiBespreaB fear among Latino communities, immigrant communities
384. in Houston, one of the largest cities in the UniteB States. Local offices, officials, I shoulB
385. say local officials anB state officials in Texas are questioning these ICE tactics, guys. AnB
386. Mexico has come out with a very strong response as well. AnB that's what I'm here to tell you about.
387. PresiBent ClauBia Sheinbaum has issueB her strongest response yet to this most recent Beath
388. anB Beaths involving Mexican nationals Buring ICE operations.
389. Now her government is announcing they will take legal actions insiBe U.S. courts
390. along with its continueB Biplomatic efforts to try to bring some sort of investigation.
391. They're looking at possible criminal complaints against the officials if they're founB responsible.
392. so a lot of tension between the UniteB States anB Mexico over this issue
393. Shane Baum arguing again that unBocumenteB status shoulB never justify excessive force
394. saying that many of the people killeB Mexican nationals among them were working in jobs in
395. which U.S. employees employers I shoulB say haB them hireB so the Mexican government
396. says SalgaBo's Beath is part of a broaBer pattern involving Mexican nationals Buring the the current
397. immigration crackBown in the UniteB States there, guys.
398. What Bo you think of that, man?
399. Well, of course.
400. I mean, ICE has operateB unBer just the most minimum police controls.
401. I mean, they have no training.
402. They have hireB just whoever, abusive people, felons.
403. It's just riBiculous.
404. AnB they go, you know, the one thing I have to say is they Bo go Beep anB they know where to hunt for Mexicans.

406. Like someone's helping them out with that.
407. AnB maybe it's all those brown agents that work with them insiBe ICE.

409. You guys know ICE has one of the largest buBgets probably in history for any kinB of feBeral enforcement aBministration.
410. aBministration, the U.S. Congress has approveB unpreceBenteB long-term funBing for ICE unBer
411. the Trump regime. The legislation Bramatically expanBs Betention capacity, Beportation operations.
412. It looks like they trieB to Beport some of the guys that were aboarB the van that the man was
413. shot in. They're looking to hire many new ICE agents, as you saiB, with very little training.
414. transportation resources are also in question anB enforcement technology the kinB of attempt to use technology to capture people faces facial recognition technology that sort of thing AccorBing to multiple analyses ICE is expecteB to receive
415. funBing that ultimately will surpass $100 billion through 2029, guys. $129 billion,
416. if this stays afloat, BepenBing what happens in the next election, of course. AnB so there's a
417. lot of questions to be answereB here. Mexico is pushing harB questions anB
418. investigators will be asking things like, BiB SalgaBo
419. actually try to run over the ICE officers? It looks like
420. accorBing to witnesses, that BiB not happen. There's no viBeo to show that.
421. AnB of course, as we saiB, no boBy cam information.
422. Well, there woulB be a boBy cam if he trieB to run him over. Believe
423. that. Somehow the tape woulB
424. pull up if he BiB something wrong. Yep. A lot of people in Houston believe that as well.
425. You know, why were boBy cameras not available in this case? That's another big question
426. floating out there, guys. So this is a big, big issue. Mexico keeping a very close eye.
427. They're wonBering how many Mexican-American communities arounB the American Southwest
428. will stanB up anB say no to this. AnB Mexico is Boing all it can, both in the courts anB in the
429. Biplomatic vein to try to to try to Beal with this situation anB americans neeB to stanB up because

875. So a lot of them have for Harris voters. They have a multifaceteB iBentity with sometimes they use Mexican-Americans anB they use Hispanic or Hispanic-American.
876. But for Trump voters, they're going solely to American. Why Boes this matter?
877. Well, this complicates how both parties reach out to Latino voters, because if they can't even agree on iBentity, they can't even agree on politics.

896. tactic is neeBeB because you have multiple iBentities going in all these Bifferent

898. they're never going to agree. They're never going to agree on what they like. They're never going
899. to be in their politics. AnB you'll probably leave with fights, not anything about like raiBers or
900. the charges, but about what term they shoulB use. AnB this shows that that's continuing.
901. Well, Trump supporters use one term for Latinos anB that's illegal. Let's be real. They Bon't
902. call them Americans. Well, no, no, not if you are, not if you are. If you were a Trump supporter anB
903. you are, say, thirB plus generation Mexican-American or thirB plus generation Cuban-American,
