20. You know, I was talking to Pedro just the other day
21. and he was letting me know
22. that with all the stuff happening,
23. all the legal stuff,
24. it is hard to keep up.
25. There was just a hunger strike
26. that was taking place
27. in one of the detention centers
28. and they were actually able
29. to make an effective change there.
30. It was instituted by one of the inmates there
31. and their wife who is on the outside, on the other side of the gate.
32. So incredible.
33. That is impressive from society to be able to create a system
34. where you can actually get people out of institutions like those.
35. Right, so here we go.
36. We're going to go ahead and get into it right here with Pedro Chavez,
37. our immigration attorney.

40. This is Pedro Chavez, immigration attorney and your host right here at

42. Each week I share insights, guidance, and real world strategies to help you
43. navigate the immigration process with confidence, whether you're seeking

46. So with that said let jump right into it This is why undocumented people might not be able to use Zelle or Venmo anymore So last week while I was on vacation the Trump administration issued an executive order
47. that is going to change the banking system once it's fully implemented.
48. It will seriously limit undocumented people's ability to use Zelle or Venmo because if they
49. do excessively and they have no status in the United States and they used a non-U.S.
50. passport to start their bank account, what it will do is it will trigger what's called enhanced
51. due diligence. So normally when you create a bank account, all you really need is your name,
52. date of birth, an address, and some ID number, a matricula or your foreign passport. Those have
53. all been acceptable. But now under this executive order, what will happen is using a foreign
54. passport or having an ITIN number will little by little degrade your rating with the bank.
55. and if it degrades far enough, meaning using ITIN plus you registered with a non-US identification
56. plus other factors, then you will eventually reach what's called enhanced due diligence.
57. Once an account has reached enhanced due diligence, there's no choice by the bank.
58. They have to launch an investigation into you. They have to verify where your funds come.
59. One of the things that they will look at that will also get you to enhanced due diligence apart from
60. your foreign passport that you used to create the bank and an ITIN is you're receiving repeated
61. payments from peer-to-peer platforms such as Zelle or Venmo because undocumented people
62. receive money that way through Zelle or Venmo. If you see that, then it means that you might
63. not have work authorization. Another thing to look at is if you do a lot of cash deposits
64. because that also signals that you do not have work authorization. Now, once that's happened,
65. And once you have been placed in EDD, they have to verify where your funds are coming from.
66. Otherwise, they are no longer in compliance with the Bank Securities Act and the Patriot Act.
67. It means that they have huge fines if they don't do it.
68. And so they have to ask you, well, what is your status and what is your work authorization in order to verify the source of funds?
69. If they are unable to verify the source of funds, then they have to, by law, freeze your account in order to stop you because they're treating you as a transnational criminal.
70. or they have to file a SARS, a suspicious activity report with FinCEN, which is the
71. criminal investigation unit of the Treasury Department. So for that reason, it's going to be
72. very, very tricky for undocumented people to do transactions once this executive order goes
73. through. All this executive order does will make it so that your activities as an undocumented person
74. puts you in EDD. And once you're there, you'll have to verify your status or your work authorization.
75. and if you cannot, the bank by law must freeze your account or issue a SARS. I hope that helped.

91. Welcome to the show Bright Benson, thank you sir for joining me on the program, really appreciate you
92. And can you formally introduce yourself to our viewers and listeners and share your background with us
93. Alright, my name is Bright Benson and I live in Maryland, United States
94. I'm an African, African-African, I'm an Afrobeat artist
95. I studied cybersecurity and computer science in school, but I ended up falling in love with music.
96. So now I'm an Afrobeat artist. Right now I'm in Nigeria for some tours and I'm here.
97. Wow. You studied that and then all of a sudden now you're a big artist and you're doing wonderful things.
98. You're also an actor as well, right? Tell us a little bit about that.
99. Well, I'm more of a executive producer and, you know, acting once in a while when it's necessary, but, you know, love to act as well. Just mostly, I do the music mostly.
100. All right, look at you doing all kinds of things. That is super awesome. So what first got you into music and when did you realize you wanted to pursue it professionally?
101. about two years ago i decided like you know what let me do it more but i've been doing music for
102. decade at least one decade plus and you know about two years ago i was like you know what let me move
103. more to the next level because a lot of people wanted me to like you know listen they listen to
104. my vibe and my music the style of music i'm doing and they realize that you know what you shouldn't
105. just do this music here but you should go more places with your music and you know the encouragement
106. was really there so i was like okay i'll do that super awesome and and who who are your biggest
107. music influences uh who are your or who were your biggest musical influences growing up and which
108. artists uh do you admire today um growing up i listened to people like king sunny ade
109. I think Ani Sonia is one of the biggest back in the days when I was growing up.
110. He, you know, is one of those people that, you know, the settings of our sets, even though people that were not my set still listen to him because he's always a storyteller.
111. He's always telling stories.
112. So it's kind of he has a very unique vibe, which is called Fuji.
113. So, you know, he's an effusion.
114. is one of those pannier of Afrobeat.
115. Can you walk us through your songwriting process?
116. And what is that like?
117. How do you come up with your songs and write your music I also when when it beat it right I fell in my chest first If I move my spirit before I you know
118. think about anything, it's my lyrics, you know,
119. and then melody.
120. I love melodies, you understand?
121. So whenever there's melody there,
122. it gives me automatic,
123. what's that thing called?
124. butterfly. You know, when you meet a woman, you have a butterfly in your belly. So that gives me
125. a butterfly. Okay, I love this. And then majorly, the sound. Sound is very important. When I start
126. creating sound, it gives me the vibe to write lyrics and everything like that. So it gives me
127. the energy to rhyme. And that literally, spiritually connects to other people when
128. I release this kind of music.
129. Wow.
130. So what kind of melodies inspire you?
131. That's very fascinating, though.
132. I never heard about the melody inspiring you to write the music.
133. But what kind of melodies do you listen to to get inspired?
134. So I'm more of a chord person.
135. When you press me, like maybe I'm on the keyboard and I can listen to one chord.
136. And that chord sounds so good.
137. I'm like, okay, I can start something from that chord, you understand?
138. So if you decide to change that chord, it can change my whole vibe.
139. But that chord, even though if I listen to that chord in the next 20 years,
140. I will sing the same song to that chord.
141. That's the only thing that came to my brain at that time.
142. So is there a particular song that you've written that holds a special meaning for you?
143. And if so, why?
144. It's called Back in the Day.
145. There was a time that I remember that, you know, when I try to talk to females and they always try to be like, you're not up to my standard.
146. You're not making that much money.
147. So I can talk to somebody like you.
148. And that should give me a throwback to me writing songs for those kind of females that come back and say, oh, my God, you are so good looking.
149. And I'm like, I was good looking before.
150. Okay, I'll have her.
151. Those females are hard to get.
152. They're hard to get.
153. Oh, yeah, they are.
154. They are.
155. So I'm like, okay, you know, they have the right.
156. They have the right to, you know, to tell you.
157. Those kind of things encourage me.
158. Because at the end of the day, you are thinking in your head, like, you know what, you need to work more better.
159. You need to be more efficient with your time.
160. and you need to be more notable out there, you understand?
161. And that's what pushed me to what level I'm in right now.
162. So Back In The Days actually gave me that vibe.
163. All right.
164. All right, we're going to have to talk about your new single called Fajit Daddy.
165. I listened to that song.
166. It's such a feel-good song, very inspiring track.
167. I almost felt like having a margarita when I listened to your song.
168. I just felt like I was on vacation.
169. I love the vibe.
170. I love the melody.
171. So you've described Fajitari as more than a song, it's a lifestyle.
172. What does Faji mean and what's the lifestyle that you're talking about?
173. It's so funny that you already said what is the meaning of Fajitari.
174. It's like you drinking margarita and enjoying yourself.
175. Imagine you just getting off work.
176. After I stress you here, you'll be like,
177. I'm done here. Let me just go drink something
178. and
179. go to maybe a club.
180. Thank you, daddy.
181. He's the kind of guy that just enjoy lifestyle, like a luxury lifestyle, that love to spend, you understand, on everything, anything.
182. He just don't, he's like a carefree kind of person, you understand.
183. So, you know, he can go to the club and say, you know what, I want everybody to drink today on my bill.
184. But being carefree is so liberating though.
185. Carefree.
186. Exactly.
187. I just love that song though.
188. It was really good.

190. So what inspired you to make that single Fajitadi and how do you see it defining your musical
191. direction moving forward?
192. All right, so Fajitadi means calm me when you need to free your mind.
193. That means when you need to listen to a kind of music that gives you inspiration to enjoy
194. yourself.
195. You understand?
196. You can call your, everybody needs a Faji Daddy.
197. Everybody.
198. You need a Faji Mommy, you know.
199. I'm saying Faji Mommy in the sense like, you know, you call your, maybe your wife call you and say,
200. Babe, I want to take you out today.
201. I just want to spend on you.
202. I just want to make sure you're happy.
203. You understand?
204. So everybody needs that kind of happy moment with somebody.
205. You understand?
206. So that's what literally, literally the meaning of Faji Daddy.
207. That's the literal meaning of Faji Daddy, you know.
208. So it's not just Fadji Daddy, it can be Fadji Mommy as well.
209. That means me using the word mommy is because it's a female gender.
210. Fadji Daddy is a male gender, you understand?
211. So it can be young, old, baby, anybody.
212. As long as you know how to enjoy yourself, that means you're in a Fadji.

250. It is time for Butch Ware, who is running for governor.
251. Our very own Jesta Bess had an opportunity to go ahead and sit down with him and talk about what's happening in the political campaign.
252. This is how it all went down. Jesta Bess and Butch Ware.
253. Yeah, could not put that book down. It was I still think it's the most powerful narrative of spiritual redemption that we have in the English language.
254. And so I had to ask myself what I thought about electoral politics. So I went back to Malcolm. Malcolm had a speech called The Ballot of the Bullet in 1964, where he said the ballot is a weapon of war as effective or more effective than a bullet.
255. And I thought if my, you know, kind of revolutionary hero believed that electoral political tools could be used for truly transformational revolutionary aims, then it's something that I should consider.
256. So after running as the VP in 2024, running for governor in the state of California in 2026 seemed to be the next logical step in trying to build the kind of political power that's going to be necessary to get, you know, our oppressed and marginalized communities the things that we need.
257. And, you know, everybody seems to be feeling politically exhausted right now. I mean, across the board. So, you know, just by the way that you explained your beginnings to where you are now, what do you think is an overall arch of what makes your campaign so different from the others?
258. What our campaign has tapped into is the fact that people are fed up with that charade that passes for politics.
259. Sixty sixty three percent of registered voters in a 2023 Gallup poll said that those two parties do such a, quote, poor job.
260. That's the language of the poll. Such a poor job that we need an independent third party.
261. That number is 70 percent when you are polling independents.
262. And for the record, there are now 50 percent of the American public identify themselves as independents and only 25 percent identifies Democrats and only 25 percent identifies Republicans.
263. So people are just fed up with this mockery and and they want a political movement that's of the people, by the people, for the people.
264. And so what we're, you know, essentially, like if you go to my website at the bottom of every page, it says solidarity beyond identity and ideology that we don't care who you pray with or who you lay with.
265. None of that matters. Your rights and your dignity are sacred and your elected officials are supposed to be public servants that serve you rather than their donor class.
266. So that what we bringing to the people You know we continue to hear about ICE and your more ICE raids and the detention What policies would you push as governor to address that As governor of
267. the state of California, I'm not going to comply with any unconstitutional federal orders.
268. And everything that ICE is doing is fully unconstitutional. So therefore, ICE is going
269. to have to go through every lawyer and law enforcement officer in the state before they
270. so much as touch a hair on the head of any California resident, irrespective of their
271. status. The reason why there's been bipartisan agreement between Democrats and Republicans
272. to pursue racist immigration policies, because that's good for the corporations. It gives them
273. fragile workers that don't have legal status to organize and therefore can be abused.
274. They mentioned that you've used the phrase brown, Washington, white, supremacist.
275. I mean, it is what it sounds like, right?
276. So one of the things that really drives me crazy about the Democrats is that the Democrats will pursue openly white supremacist policies, but they'll put a black or brown person in charge as the person out front so that black and brown people will have buy in to systems that destroy us.
277. Right. And so at what point, like, do we hold them accountable for taking people that look like us and making them the face of policies that destroy us?
278. Right. And then they just expect us to play along because of identity politics.
279. What's one thing you want Californians to feel differently about within your first year of being elected?
280. I think that probably what I would see as the most immediate tangible outcome is that by getting us universal single payer health care and by taxing the private equity companies that are purchasing a bunch of homes and rental properties and keeping them vacant in order to spike the housing prices.
281. right i know so i want to tax blackstone and black rock so hard that they have to sell those empty
282. properties back to the state so that we can run those as social housing which is like what they
283. do in europe like in vienna austria 60 of the market is publicly owned and operated at cost
284. not for profit and so the average renter pays about 25 of their monthly income for rent here
285. people are paying 80 90 sometimes a whole the whole paycheck just to keep a roof over our heads
286. Right. So I think that the biggest difference that we would see is that people would have access to free health care and affordable housing.
287. And between those two pieces, it would essentially resolve the driving factors that are creating the homelessness crisis in the state, because we know that every time there's a hundred dollar increase in the average median rent, the homelessness rate goes up by nine percent.
288. So imagine if we have universal health care that's comprehensive of not just vision and dental, but mental health treatment and addiction treatment.
289. That would be insane. Right. Right. And then also on top of that, affordable housing, because those are the things that are driving people into homelessness.
290. And I'll be honest, like I faced being unhoused as a child.
291. I lived inside shelters and with relatives
292. and I never lived at the same street address
293. for a calendar year consecutively until I turned nine.
294. We were in and out of every kind
295. of precarious housing situation.
296. So when I talk about resolving these fundamental issues for the most impoverished among us it because I know that poor people need care not cages right And that little butch you know like I had a lot of
297. potential in me and that almost like could have gone into nothing without just a little bit of
298. opportunity along the way. So I want to invest, you know, and the short version is this alongside
299. the healthcare and the housing is that I want to divest from occupation. I don't want our tax
300. dollars to be used to kill kids in other countries. I want our tax dollars to be used to educate kids
301. in California, right? It's so crazy. Yeah, but that's the way it should be. That's the way it
302. should be. That's the way it should be. So that's it. You know, like just simple things like that,
303. make our resources work to make California a better place. And I think that we have everything
304. that we need. You know, it's just that we have, you know, a political elite that doesn't work for
305. us. They work for their donors. Yeah. And just to wrap it up here, where can people learn about
306. your campaign? Where can they learn more and get involved? Do you want to drop your socials
307. and your website? I didn't do that. Yep. Butchwareforgov.com is the website and I'm
308. at Butchware on all social media platforms. Get involved. We've still got two weeks till
309. election day and you can do same day registration. And we really need our folks to get out and
310. support this movement. They're doing everything that they can to make sure that the voter turnout
311. is low. If we show up, we can win and we can take the power back. So I'm so excited. I'm so grateful
312. that I met you and that you educated me. And I hope that the viewers who are listening to this,
313. when it's finally up and ready, that they can take away something too and check you out. And
314. hopefully we can take that power back from those who are not in favor of our intentions. Amen.

335. Hi, Emiliano. Thank you so much for having us. We're really excited for being here.
336. This is the first time that we are having pediatric dentists in the studio. This is a
337. groundbreaking for us. Dr. Sushant, what was your first thought? How did you say,
338. I want to become a dentist? How did that happen? I actually started with my family. Both of my
339. sisters are dentists, so that is how it started. And then I always knew I wanted to work with kids.
340. So one thing led to another. And before I knew it, I loved working in the field of pediatric
341. dentistry. Today, we are going to focus on the actual dentistry where you work and practice
342. being a doctor there.
343. How did the practice begin? Give us the name and then I know there's a cool story about how the name began.
344. So the name of our office is Little Kids Dentistry and the story behind it is actually interesting
345. because when we chose our location it was actually on the street Little and we knew that we wanted to see kids.
346. So what better name than Little Kids Dentistry?
347. And from what I understand you guys started off in the Wilshire District area.
348. So if anybody goes up there, that is the name of the street, the actual name of the street, Little.
349. Exactly, yes.
350. Why the focus to practice with children, kids?
351. Well, as we started seeing patients, we realized just how much was being missed in the pediatric field with the kids,
352. how much was being untreated, undiagnosed.
353. And we decided that it was an area that we really wanted to focus on because we could make a difference.
354. And we just wanted to do everything within our power to help give them the tools necessary to shape them into healthy adults with really good dental hygiene.
355. When it comes to being a dentist and working with kids, what makes you guys different?
356. What makes you guys unique in this?
357. I know there's a lot of competition.
358. Our biggest commitment and what makes us different from our competitors are the relationships that we look to build with the parents and with the patients.
359. We're not just looking to treat the teeth.
360. We're their therapists.
361. We're their teachers.
362. We're there in whatever shape or form they need us in.
363. And we truly, truly care about building these relationships and maintaining with them because that's how we earn their trust.
364. And that's how they can come to us with any dental needs.
365. What is one thing that somebody should avoid?
366. You know, because our teeth are important.
367. And what's one practice that we could do that will give you some longevity?
368. You're the doctor here.
369. Avoid any sticky candy.
370. Any sticky, chewy candy.
371. Oh, sticky, chewy candy.
372. That is the worst one that really gets stuck in there and causes some major damage.
373. Okay, everyone out there, our Soul Rebel family, avoid sticky candy.
374. Now, what's one practice that we can do that will really help our teeth out?
375. Stay hydrated.
376. drink a lot of water. The acidity of the oral cavity goes a long way to causing cavities to
377. form. So water is not only good for your overall health, it does wonder for your teeth as well.
378. That is fabulous, doctor. Two very good tips right there. Now, so Diana, you are the marketing
379. director for Little Kids Dentistry. And how did that job become? How did you become a marketing
380. director for Little Kids Dentistry. Fantastic opportunity for me to bring education to the
381. children. So making connections with the city and organizations and things like that. Kind of feels
382. like you're taking the dentist building and you're taking it outside of that building and you're
383. bringing it into our community. We have partnerships with LACO. We're working with the regional center.
384. we work also with LAUSD which is a big deal for us that we're able to reach as many schools and
385. organizations as much as possible early on education is extremely fundamental for little
386. children right we want to get them as soon as they start understanding that hey I'm getting
387. teeth I got a brush I got a floss I got sugar bugs now talking about those sugar bugs you want
388. You guys have a couple of cool things.
389. You have a mascot and puppet.
390. Describe all of that.
391. That is amazing Yes So with education we focus on hearing seeing and doing So the children in order for them to understand what we talking about
392. we do a puppet show. Dino, our dental dino, and Diego, his little brother,
393. get a dental screening, and then we do a hands-on activity.
394. By the time that we've completed all these three things,
395. we have our dentist that performs a free oral screening,
396. and the kids are excited about it.
397. They're like, hey, come and check in my mouth.
398. I have sugar bugs. Tell me if I do. Diana, I know that you're the marketing director and I know you
399. educate, you do all of that, but what are some of those things that you guys do in the community

472. latest in pop culture and gaming news reviews and interviews my name is halloween barahona
473. and I am your host. Everybody, tonight is a very sad night for me. I regret to inform you of some
474. what is to me very saddening news, and that is the official end of Destiny. Yes, that's right,
475. Destiny is finally drawing to a close. The series has gone on for about 12 years by now,
476. And just recently, Bungie has announced Destiny's future.
477. And as it is, to be honest, it doesn't look too great.
478. We are in a state of transition right now.
479. And that transition will end with Destiny continuing.
480. It'll like, by continuing I mean it'll be playable.
481. You'll be able to play it and experience it online and everything as is.
482. But it will not be receiving any more content, any more updates.
483. Its final update will be coming very soon on June 9th and that will be it Destiny as is is finally over
484. So where do we even begin with this?
485. Destiny for me has been a comfort game that I've come back to fairly often.
486. It is a game that I feel very strongly about.
487. I have a lot of strong opinions of.
488. It's been a game that I've come back to repeatedly.
489. It's been a game that's had its ups and downs.
490. And I am very sad to see it go this way.
491. Now, there's a lot of history to dig into in regards to Destiny and all of the issues it's had and everything.
492. but really to just summarize it
493. the game has been mishandled
494. since I would honestly argue
495. this is a personal opinion
496. but since the beginning
497. with initially a 10 year plan
498. in place to keep the game running
499. years of content
500. an extended storyline
501. that I would say
502. it is mostly wrapped up in a satisfying way
503. excluding the last two expansions
504. it's a game that had ambitions
505. to continue indefinitely
506. and facilitating that has not been easy.
507. Bungie has not had the easiest time
508. with managing Destiny.
509. They've made a lot of decisions
510. that have made people upset.
511. Everything from removing content
512. to the game to monetizing
513. the heck out of the game
514. to putting out expansions
515. that are very unfriendly to new players
516. and not very engaging
517. to returning veteran players.
518. And it's all led to this.
519. recently Bungie released Marathon
520. a game that I think is fantastic
521. wonderful
522. and unique above all
523. it is a game that I think
524. is worth your time if you are even
525. remotely interested in
526. PvP I would recommend
527. going to play it
528. but it is no Destiny
529. I am sad to see that Destiny is gone
530. that Destiny
531. will still be here honestly
532. as far as like
533. playable game is concerned but that there is no more destiny content no more new destiny content
534. being made for the foreseeable future no plans for a destiny 3 comments about what was planned
535. for destiny uh for the near future have come and gone plans for new expansions expanding on
536. specific plot lines that people wanted to see continued all of those things you know it's been
537. slowly revealed by old devs for Destiny.
538. But the long and short of it is
539. Destiny management has not been great.
540. The higher-ups at Bungie have not handled the series very well,
541. have not treated it with any sort of grace, seemingly,
542. and really the people catching heat right now are the devs,
543. especially with this weird civil war going on
544. between Marathon fans and Destiny fans.
545. Well, it seems to be mostly Destiny fans,
546. if I'm being completely honest,
547. and as a Destiny fan, and look, the intersection of people who listen to the radio
548. and people who are on the Internet as often as I am are probably not very many.
549. But just if you happen to listen, and if you're one of those people who's pinning everything on Marathon
550. and Marathon's existence on White, we're not getting a Destiny 3 right away.
551. We probably might not ever get a new Destiny thing.
552. If you're pinning that on Marathon, take a step back.
553. Please get a grip.
554. Think rationally.
555. don't pin this on a game
556. that I think is fantastic
557. this game that I don't think
558. is a replacement for Destiny
559. at all, it clearly takes
560. some inspiration from it, but Marathon is very much its own thing.
561. Having said all of that, I am very sad that Destiny is going away.
562. I am very sad that it's had the rough path it did.
563. And I'm going to end tonight's segment on a little anecdote.
564. I played Destiny a lot in college.
565. I was dealing with a lot of things in college, a lack of purpose, a lack of direction.
566. And Destiny grounded me.
567. It kept me busy.
568. It kept me secure, and it was fun above everything.
569. I've played it for the last 12 years,
570. and I've enjoyed every minute of it.
571. I have 2,000 hours in the game roughly,
572. and that's over Destiny 1 and 2.
573. So please, if you're even remotely curious, give Destiny a try.
574. And hey, maybe tell Sony, hey, we want more Destiny.
575. Maybe make that happen.
576. Whether that's Destiny 3 or just another Destiny project.
577. Who knows?

604. Now, once you understand what's actually happening in our bodies after 40,
605. you'll never look at cardio the same way again.
606. Now, look, I get it.
607. Cardio is what we were all taught.
608. You want to lose fat, you run more.
609. But here's what nobody told us about our bodies after 40.
610. Long cardio at our age does three things and none of them are doing what we hoped.
611. First, it spikes cortisol.
612. And cortisol parks fat right on the stomach, the exact spot we're trying to lose it from.
613. Second, it eats muscle.
614. Less muscle means a slower metabolism.
615. So we end up running more to make up for it and the whole thing snowballs.
616. Third, it tells your nervous system you're under chronic stress.
617. Your body responds by holding on to every single gram of fat it can find.
618. Now, what you're doing isn't the problem.
619. The approach is, if you're still training like you did years ago, your body is going
620. to push back.
621. And at this stage, you don't need more volume, more randomness, or more punishment.
622. You need the right stimulus.
623. Because once you're in your 40s and 50s, your body only responds when the signal is precise, controlled, and intentional.
