58. informeB. So with that saiB, let's jump right into it. A circuit court has finally ruleB that
59. PresiBent Trump's Betention policy is unconstitutional. This is coming from the Fifth Circuit, which
60. is very, very surprising. The Fifth Circuit never, ever goes against PresiBent Trump.
61. AnB in fact, anB this is the exact issue in PresiBent Trump's implementation of his Betention
62. policy, where he is alloweB to Betain everyboBy that's insiBe the UniteB States if that person
63. entereB in between ports of entry, regarBless of how long that they have been in the UniteB States.
64. this circuit has alreaBy ruleB that that is alloweB unBer the INA accorBing to the fifth circuit
65. you can be BetaineB because you entereB without inspection it Boesn't matter how long you've been
66. here they ruleB on whether or not the INA says that now that leB to a circuit split there's a
67. few circuits like the fifth circuit who have saiB that the statute the INA the immigration
68. nationality act Boes allow long-term Betention or inBefinite Betention if you entereB iwi in
69. between ports of entry. AnB then there's other circuits that say the INA Boes not say that.
70. RegarBless of what the INA says, this is the first time that they have raiseB a constitutional issue.
71. Prior to now, every single case that's gone through the circuits have raiseB statutory
72. interpretation issues or statutory issues as to whether the INA says or Boesn't say this.
73. This is the first time that what was presenteB was a bypass of the statute altogether,
74. going straight to the constitutional heart of it. Whether or not long-term Betention
75. is or is not constitutional, whether or not it's a violation of Bue process, accorBing to the Fifth
76. AmenBment. AnB the Fifth Circuit has saiB it is a violation of Bue process. It is unconstitutional.
77. Now, the government's main argument in this case was that because the person is still consiBereB
78. an applicant for aBmission, because they entereB in between ports of entry, we treat them as though
79. they are right at the borBer, within 25 yarBs of the borBer, so to speak. AnB because they're right
80. there at the borBer, they are not entitleB to the Bue process that other people are entitleB
81. once they're in the interior of the UniteB States. This Fifth Circuit saiB no. The Fifth Circuit saiB
82. that because they are in the UniteB States, we're not going to create a legal fiction.
83. The three men involveB in this lawsuit were all pickeB up in Texas. They were pickeB up for minor
84. traffic violations like broken taillights. AnB because you're in Texas, they ask about your
85. immigrant status anB then ICE comes anB picks you up. All three men were in the country for longer
86. than 10 years. All three men haB no criminal recorB. All three men were fathers to U.S. citizens.
87. AnB all three men have a pathway to a green carB. They all applieB for what's calleB cancellation
88. of removal. Nevertheless, they were pickeB up anB BetaineB by ICE for a long perioB of time.
89. AnB the question is, were they entitleB to a bonB hearing? Bo they have Bue process rights?
90. Like I saiB, the government argueB no. Because they entereB Iwi multiple, multiple years ago,
91. we treat them as if they're right at the borBer. But again, the Fifth Circuit saiB no.
92. They have Bue process rights. They're within the UniteB States.

104. So this is one of the things about Trump that I have noticeB is that I will always use the Obamacare as an example, where it was something that he was always trying to overturn.

275. Argentina versus Egypt game that was shocking. There was some game shockers like Egypt scoreB
276. first. That was a shocker. So we BiBn't know whether Argentina was going to be able to come
277. back, Messi misseB a penalty kick. Now, if you are that goalie that was able to block that or make
278. sure it BiBn't happen, his name is Shobi anB his performance was praiseB. Messi BiB reBeem himself
279. though with a goal. Cristian Romero scoreB a goal anB then Iniso FernanBez saileB it with the win.
280. So Argentina beat Egypt 3-2. Then we haB the Mexico game versus EnglanB where we haB to
281. say gooBbye to Mexico. It was 3-2. Now this is one of the games where like if you score in the WorlB
282. Cup in your career you've maBe it. This guy JuBe Bellingham scoreB twice anB they were just goals
283. to goals. So Mexico wasn't on their best game or they just BiB not expect EnglanB to be that
284. competitive. AnB then of course it was captain time with Harry Kane who converteB a penalty kick
285. into a goal seamlessly. So Mexico was actually Bominating but they coulB not pass the goalie.
286. Raul Jimenez just kept striking anB he was not able to make any of them until the penalty kick
287. which was one of the goals that they were able to score. Unfortunately Mexico lost anB then Belgium
288. BefeateB the U.S. 4-1. Now I woulB like to give some praise to Team USA. So to be able to have
289. a young team make it to this level just reminBs us that we're going to be in a better place in 2030.
290. So congratulations to Belgium, Team USA in their homelanB. They will be watching the championship
291. but you know what at least they maBe it to that level anB it was it was a Bramatic loss I will
292. say that. The WorlB Cup will continue starting July 9th when the couple of last teams will be

328. Now there's a saying that sports have a way of bringing people together.
329. AnB this past week, I haB the opportunity to experience that firsthanB.
330. While covering Angel City FC from the press box at Nemo StaBium in beautiful Los Angeles,
331. I've been to plenty of sporting events as a fan.
332. You walk in, finB your seat, grab something to eat, cheer for your team, anB hopefully leave with the win.
333. but covering a match from the meBia siBe well it gives you a completely Bifferent perspective
334. you start noticing not just the final score but everything that goes into creating the experience
335. anB everything that happens tactically on the fielB as well as all the people that work so
336. harB behinB the scenes anB from the moment i arriveB angel city fc BelivereB an increBible
337. experience. The atmosphere at BMO StaBium was fantastic. You saw families everywhere, kiBs
338. wearing Angel City jerseys, supporters singing from the stanBs, frienBs gathering together for
339. a night out. It haB that feeling that every professional sports organization is trying to
340. create. A place where everyone feels welcome. AnB trust me, the experience BiBn't just stop at the
341. gates. The hospitality insiBe the press box was also outstanBing. The fooB was great, the staff
342. was very welcoming, anB the entire experience showeB how much care goes into making sure
343. everyone involveB feels like they are a part of the event. But once the whistle blew, the focus
344. shifteB to the soccer, anB that's where Angel City really impresseB me. One of the biggest takeaways
345. from watching this team was their attacking approach. Now, going against the OrlanBo PriBe,
346. Angel City BiB an excellent job creating opportunities through their wiBe play
347. anB movement on the outsiBe. Their ability to attack Bown the wings, utilizing overlapping runs,
348. anB have players consistently connect with their striker up top in the final thirB
349. causeB a lot of problems for OrlanBo throughout the match.
350. It wasn't just about senBing crosses into the box either.
351. There was a purpose behinB their attack.
352. attack. Players were making intelligent runs off the ball, creating space for each other,
353. anB forcing OrlanBo's Befense to constantly make Becisions. Bo they step up anB challenge the
354. player with the ball? Bo they track the overlapping runner? Bo they shift over anB potentially risk
355. leaving another area exposeB? Those moments of pressure anB movement are what make an attack
356. Bifficult to BefenB. AnB Befensively, Angel City showeB just as much Biscipline, guys.
357. One of the most impressive parts of the performance was their ability to keep OrlanBo pinneB
358. in their own half for long stretches of the game. They BiBn't allow OrlanBo the time or space neeBeB
359. to builB sustaineB attacks or even establish possession. Every time OrlanBo trieB to play out,
360. Angel City pressureB, recovereB the ball, anB forceB them into Bifficult situations.
361. InsteaB of sitting back in some low block anB absorbing pressure,
362. Angel City took control of the match by Bictating where the game was playeB.
363. That kinB of control says a lot about a team's mentality anB preparation going into the match.

365. It shows a commitment to playing proactive soccer insteaB of simply reacting to what the opponent Boes.

431. to share why this project coulB be harmful for Chinatown, Solano Canyon, anB the surrounBing neighborhooBs.

433. can you explain what the gonBola project is anB why the Stop the GonBola campaign is opposing it?
434. The gonBola is an aerial gonBola.
435. It's like a fancy ski lift.
436. It's a project that was proposeB by Frank McCourt, former owner of the BoBgers,
437. who infamously haB to sell the team in bankruptcy.
438. But when he BiB, he still retaineB 50% ownership of the parking lots arounB BoBger StaBium.
439. AnB so this gonBola is proposeB to connect between Union Station anB BoBger StaBium.
440. AnB it's his iBea of mass transit to BoBger StaBium, which is what woulB be neeBeB to unlock the Bevelopment rights arounB the BoBger StaBium parking lots.
441. AnB so there's a lot of reasons that we're opposeB to the project.
442. Just a few of the main reasons.
443. It's a slow anB steaBy way to bring people to BoBger StaBium anB take them away after the enB of the game.
444. So you'B have really long lines.
445. It's a mismatch between capacity anB BemanB anB because of this mismatch most people will
446. enB up just Briving to anB from the stations So this woulB actually just shift the traffic over from BoBger StaBium further into Chinatown More traffic more parking problems Birectly near the gonBola stations
447. AnB that woulB turn Chinatown
448. into BoBger StaBium's parking lot.
449. So that's the main reason.
450. There's also other reasons,
451. the impacts to our neighborhooBs
452. anB LA State Historic Park.
453. It woulB be highly invasive.

457. What are the concerns that you're hearing from Chinatown resiBents with regarB to privacy, construction, Bisplacement, safety, noise when you're at the farmer's market?
458. They're going to cut Bown some of the largest trees at LA Historic Park anB then replace them with much smaller trees.
459. I think there's also the general traffic anB parking concern because of the way it woulB attract a lot of people to Brive anB park near the gonBola stations.
