25. Because what you're witnessing, this immaculate redesign of democracy into something leaner, quieter, smoother, and suspiciously well-lubricated, is nothing short of civilization's most ambitious glow-up.

27. For centuries we labored under the clumsy superstition that citizens should govern themselves.

29. ah the same lovable chaos goblins who treat comment sections like gladiator arenas and
30. believe a meme counts as research the same species that once tried to microwave a metal fork
31. and then blamed physics and then we gave them ballots it was a bold move a slightly drunk move
32. democracy is now viewed as a civic petting zoo every few years the masses wander in
33. feed the goats of public opinion slap the machinery of state on the backside and strut home convinced
34. that they've personally adjusted history's zipper meanwhile destiny was in the corner scrolling its
35. phone barely looking up now in the past democracy meant friction it meant noise it meant arguments that went on way too long and ended in compromise that nobody loved Democracy meant candidates sweating under lights while someone in the third row asked a question about farm subsidies
36. It meant newspapers that irritated presidents.
37. It meant judges who occasionally said no.
38. democracy was sweaty democracy was loud democracy was alive and alive we're told is inefficient
39. efficiency now there's a word that purrs and
40. efficiency is governance without the mess efficiency is power that doesn't have to wipe
41. its shoes before entering the room efficiency is destiny with a calendar invite okay i'm 11 years
42. old it's okay a century ago and we're going to cue this excavation dust off the tweed europe
43. found itself bloated with humiliation inflation was so feral that it made money look like glitter
44. at a toddler's birthday party.
45. Parliaments were arguing like over-caffeinated opera singers

56. Surely national survival demanded coordination.
57. It demanded discipline.
58. It demanded alignment.
59. Not repression.

61. kind we're talking about alignment there's a long list of things that washington hasn't bothered to
62. do while inching toward what could be a strike on iran and it's a list so basic that it reads like
63. civics 101 written in crayon washington hasn't informed congress it hasn't briefed them it
64. hasn't consulted them it hasn't even performed the ceremonial nod toward constitutional adulthood
65. apparently war powers now operate like a pop-up notification swipe right proceed
66. washington and i don't mean george hasn't marched out the national security choir to explain why
67. this moment attacking blowing up conquering iraq this exact urgent cinematic moment demands
68. american missiles no maps no timelines no sober-eyed explanation of stakes and the consequences
69. just vibes washington hasn't told you what happens the morning after because wars are easy at 9 p.m
70. on cable they get complicated and round breakfast so what's the objective and
71. what's the exit and what's the cost I mean this country is so bankrupt we had
72. to come in and have a billionaire with a metaphorical chainsaw remove the entire Department of Education plus one of the federal government because we so bankrupt Sure he walked away with billion in government contracts from a bankrupt government
73. That would be you, the taxpayer, paying for it. So what would be the cost of this?
74. Hmm. Silence. The kind of silence that hums. Washington hasn't defined success.
75. Is it a crater? Is it a regime wobble? Is it a press release declaring mission accomplished with confetti and a banner?
76. What precisely counts as victory here? And how will we know when we've stumbled into it?
77. And most telling of all, Washington hasn't addressed the American people.
78. Not as citizens, not as the ones who pay, who serve, who bleed or live with the consequences.
79. No fireside explanation, no direct appeal, no attempt to persuade.
80. Just the faint suggestion that decisions of war can be made like executive menu choices,
81. without debate, without daylight, without so much as a courtesy knock on the constitutional door.
82. If you're going to start something that can set a region on fire,
83. the least you can do is explain why you're holding the match.
84. But we're told it's all in the name of efficiency
85. with the hushed reverence of a monk discussing enlightenment.
86. They spoke of unity the way a wedding planner talks about seating charts.
87. They spoke of eliminating redundancy.
88. And by redundancy, they mean people who wouldn't sit down and color inside the lines.
89. The early pitch, as you'll recall, didn't arrive in jackboots.
90. It arrived in loafers.
91. As I sip my coffee, I think you now know what my vice is.

109. like a smooth operator with a spreadsheet a cologne called destiny because you weren allowed to see all this government waste and malfeasance allegedly All you got to know about is it was being removed
110. And the money was being up-funneled right to the top.
111. Destiny efficiency rarely arrives screaming.
112. It arrives soothing.
113. It arrives saying, you're tired.
114. Let us handle it.
115. And people were tired.
116. Tired of chaos.
117. Tired of humiliation.
118. Tired of feeling like history was something happening to them instead of something they controlled.
119. So, in the past, going back to the beginning of time, recorded history, people have always traded friction for order.
120. They've traded unpredictability for alignment.
121. They've traded sovereignty for coordination.

187. like it's a constitutional amendment. And so the adults have stepped in. Throughout history,
188. they have always stepped in. They see that little sliver of light and they step in. You get a hundred
189. people on an island, pretty soon someone's doing hair, there's trade, someone's making shoes,
190. people are getting along, they're cooking, they have parties, they dance, and there's always one
191. guy at the edge going opportunity and they step in the state and industry here in this very large
192. island this now global island are merging all over the place everywhere ubiquitously all across
193. the planet like a power couple at a luxury spa retreat where towel modesty isn't required
194. Regulators and executives gazing into each other's balance sheets over candlelight.
195. Platforms curating discourse like a maitre d' deciding who gets seated near the window and who waits politely outside in the rain.
196. Banks whispering sweet compliance nothings into the ear of authority.
197. It's Swan Lake, but with compliance officers, and baby, it's smooth like silicone lube.
198. you don't lose rights anymore that's caveman stuff that's sweaty that leaves bruises now you simply

201. denied. You see, civilization has evolved. Where brute force once stopped, algorithms now slide in

228. made by cartoon villains it was made by serious thinkers who believed modern complexity required
229. central planning. That technology demanded hierarchy. That national survival couldn't

265. It seems to me that we may be getting close to some kind of fight,
266. whether it's a big fight or a small fight.
267. It's a dangerous fight because, remember,
268. Iran has very strong allies such as China and Russia.
269. They could close the Strait of Hormuz

272. Prior to 9-11, there was a think tank from the Department of Defense composed of a lot of individuals that had dual ties with Israel.
273. They came out with a project for a new American century where they devised and programmed six countries in the Middle East to be decimated by our forces.
274. Our forces, on behalf of the state of Israel, five or six have already been taken out.
275. Iran is still left over.
276. So that's where this idea of attacking Iran has come from.

293. got this huge group that sees no democratic participation and has others' will forced
294. upon them in the most violent way. I'm talking about the other group of sentience in this world
295. that we call animals. And so now, right now, Carrie, I need you to pledge that you're going
296. to go vegan. So instead of just being a dot connector, you're going to see the image that
297. the connected dots create, which is solidarity and empathy and compassion. Can you do that, Kerry?

299. I try to be as vegetarian as possible. I am vegan adjacent, but I simply cannot pull it off

581. on a daily basis, including the murder of a protester just the other day in Minneapolis.
582. But I have written letters to the editor, all the things that you've suggested.
583. I've been doing this for years.
584. I think the Democratic Party, as we know it, has abandoned the interests of ordinary people
585. a long time ago, and a large part of it has to do with the realities of campaign finance.
586. But in any event, I am really afraid that we are on the verge of a hot civil war,
587. and I think that Trump is trying to provoke a response from protesters
588. so that he has an excuse to move in, declare that there's been an insurrection,
589. and although we don't have literally anything called martial law in our in our law we you know
590. essentially that's what his intention is and and then he will suspend the election so you know i
591. just heard norm solomon and i think he's a man that i respect immensely but what you know really
592. what chance do you think that there is going to be a midterm election it's you know tim walt
593. was saying basically the same thing.
594. If he were to take the Minnesota National Guard
595. to protect the citizens of Minnesota,
596. would that then be the invitation for the Insurrection Act
597. and then it would just cover the entire country
598. and get rid of the midterms altogether?

644. oath to defend the constitution which is exactly what your organization is looking to do it's what
645. the constitution wants not what you want personally so it's an ethical decision like walk us through
646. that a little bit because people need to understand that the people who are fighting for us are not
647. all on the side of this exactly we all took the same oath to defend the constitution of the united
648. states not the president and it was even explained to us when we took that oath back when i took that
649. that that was so that if a president or any other high official ever went against the Constitution,
650. our obligation is to defend the Constitution, not the president.
651. And this is totally against the Constitution.
652. It's against the Pachacometatus Act that's formed in the image of the Constitution
653. that makes it illegal to deploy to U.S. cities unless there's an invasion or a rebellion.
654. and we don't condone acts of aggression. Under the Constitution, we're not supposed
655. to be an aggressive regime We a constitutional democracy and we use our military to defend the people of the United States and our democracy And this is neither of those This is the Iraq war all over again
